Through a process of “unmaking”, I embarked on a journey to help mend some unpleasant memories attached to a sculptures’ creation and existence, clear some space in the garage and rekindle an appreciation for a material tainted by way of association. Useful object – Remnants from a break-up, serves as a reminder that holding onto the past is not always the best way forward, sometimes it’s better just to smash it apart and start over.

An expanded visual narrative documenting the history leading up to the development of this project is featured in the limited edition publication Wake me when I'm present, which will also be available for purchase online, once I have a major windfall and can afford to pay for extra copies.
